Last year on the A.P. Chemistry Exam, 92 percent of Emma students scored 3 or higher, compared to 50 percent of girls nationally.

Emma Willard has a 75-piece orchestra. Open to all musicians, auditions are held at the beginning of the year. The orchestra focuses on classical music, although contemporary works are sometimes featured.

Emma Willard students score on average 150 points higher than the national average for girls on the verbal section of the SAT, and 110 points higher on the math section.
